Attention Parents

Do you feed your children vitamins? Do you know what ingredients make up those vitamins?

I recently read an article titled "Top Pharma-Brand of Children's Vitamins Contains Aspartame, GMOs, & Other Hazardous Chemicals". This article is interesting to me because it's often unknown exactly what is in our food, vitamins, drinks, and even water.

Children's vitamins are known to be healthy to the general public, but the most popular brand, Flintstones Vitamins, are now in the spotlight for their "not so healthy ingredients". Although Flintstones Vitamins claim to be the "Pediatricians' #1 Choice", their ingredients are proving to be shocking.

Among these ingredients are Aspartame, Cupric Oxide, Coal tar (artificial coloring: FD& C Blue #2, Red #40, Yellow #6), Zinc Oxide, Sorbitol, Ferrous Fumarate, Hydrogenated Oil (Soybean), and GMO Corn starch.

According to Bayer Health Science, the global pharmaceutical producer of Flintstones Vitamins, 82% of children do not eat all of their vegetables. Children in return don't get the nutrients they need. Think about that? In my opinion, this makes the impression Flintstones Vitamins are a supplement that "replaces" the lack of vegetables in children's diet.

By simply digging into the ingredients making up Flintstones Vitamins, there are varying opinions about this popular choice and how safe it really is for our children. This article is not "new". The article was written over 2 years ago!
